Up Our Director Our Chorus Music Arts & Just June Concert Holiday Concert Memorial Day

Buena Park Chorus is sponsored by and affiliated with the city of Buena Park.  This chorus is now in its 41st year and was established to foster interest in choral singing within the community of Buena Park and its surrounding area.  Each year, this group of singers presents a number of formal concerts, and musical support for other events.  The following singing events have been scheduled for 2009 and the calendar year.

MEMORIAL DAY SERVICE Monday, May 25, 2009 (10am)

The chorus brings musical support to the community by its participation in this city’s salute to individuals from this area whom have served in the military.  This Memorial celebration is held each year at Bellis Park at the corner of Knott Avenue and 8th Street in Buena Park.

JUNE CONCERT  Saturday, June 27, 2009 (7pm) and Sunday, June 28, 2009 (3pm).  (These are revised dates from previous postings.)

Each annual singing season, the chorus presents a concert in June.  Our concert theme during June 2009 will be "LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION"  of yesteryear.  The event, "MOVIE PRODUCTIONS" will be held at Ehlers Recreation Center in Buena Park

SILVERADO DAYS Saturday, October 17, 2009 (3pm)

The chorus provides support to Silverado Days in a number of ways including operating a “Fish Booth”, singing during the parade, and also performing a singing event on center stage where we present a western selection of our current music.  Silverado Days is held at Peak Park which is located a block northeast from Knott Avenue and La Palma Avenue.

Christmas Concert Sunday, December 13, 2009 (2pm)

The Christmas holidays would not be the same in Buena Park without our chorus singing their annual holiday concert.  This event is FREE.  But our chorus, in cooperation with the BP Coordinating Council, does suggest that attendees to this event do bring some non-perishable food items which they can donate to needy families that reside within the city of Buena Park.  This BP chorus singing event will be held at the Ehlers Recreation Center which is located at 8150 Knott Avenue, Buena Park, CA.
