Our Director - John Faller

This season, former music director John Faller, returned to again take the technical reins of the Buena Park Chorus.  Faller previously was the music director of BPC for twenty years, between 1976 and 1998, and now returns with his extensive experience in choral work to again lead our group.

John has directed public school groups throughout his professional career.  This has included schools in Ohio, in Stanfield and Phoenix, Arizona, and in many schools of the Orange Unified School District.  For three years, Faller was also the director for the teen chorus of “Sing Out Young America” of Orange County. 

Faller has extensive experience with youth and adult groups of various church choirs, including his original home parish, St. John’s St. Paul’s Lutheran church in Akron, Ohio.  For a number of years, he directed the adult choir for the Christ Lutheran church in Orange, California, and was an interim music director for the adult choir of the Messiah Lutheran church in Yorba Linda, California.

John Faller, a native of Akron, Ohio, received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Music Education in 1957, and his Master Degree in Education from the United States International University in San Diego in August 1989.  Faller also earned a Bachelor of Divinity Degree at Whittenberg College of Springfield, Ohio.
